With an all day Seafood Bar and Grill, an array of sun-soaked beaches and a fab range of cocktails, ( I recommend the Bloody Mary, nicely spiced) it may seem that the ingredients for a perfect summer getaway are all in place. And they are…..yet it is the overall vibe of the hotel which keeps people coming back for more.
The guests are a good time gang, usually tanned and 35 years plus. Potentially well travelled throughout the year, the crowd head to Salcombe to perhaps enjoy a little sailing or as part of an annual summer visit! It’s a notorious hangout, welcoming many a well known face including Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster. There is a distinct glamour, but flip flop feet paired with over sized sweatshirts is even acceptable attire after sundown!
